چکیده

Bismuth (Bi) has achieved remarkable progress due to its intriguing physicochemical properties, such as low toxicity, controllable stability, tunable bandgap, superior optical response, and strong diamagnetism. Bi-based hybrids have drawn increasing attention in recent years the integrated features of Bi component synergistic effect on separation transfer charges, holding great promises for versatile applications. In this Perspective, we systematically review controlled synthesis heterostructures their improved nanophotonic performances compared with those mono-element counterparts present existing challenges future opportunities. It is anticipated that Perspective can shed light new designs high-performance functional meet growing demand next-generation systems.

Mie-resonant dielectric nanostructures as a platform for functional nanophotonics

This scheme gives the possibility of matching the coherence time of the broadband squeezed light to the response time of the photodetector. We finally discuss a temporal imaging scheme which allows to partially compensating the frequency dispersion of the OPA. All-dielectric nanoparticles with a high refractive index support strong localized electric and magnetic multipolar Mie-type resonances....

Shape control of single crystalline bismuth nanostructures.

A synthesis approach for shape control of single crystalline Bi nanostructures has been developed. By controlling the molar ratio of PVP and Bi in a polyol process, Bi nanocubes with an edge length of approximately 60-80 nm, triangular nanoplates with an edge length of 200-500 nm, and nanospheres with an average diameter of 75 nm have been successfully synthesized. In the same synthetic process...

Improved electronic coupling in hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposites employing thiol-functionalized P3HT and bismuth sulfide nanocrystals.

In this study, we employ a thiol-functionalized polymer (P3HT-SH) as a leverage to tailor the nanomorphology and electronic coupling in polymer-nanocrystal composites for hybrid solar cells. The presence of the thiol functional group allows for a highly crystalline semiconducting polymer film at low thiol content and allows for improved nanomorphologies in hybrid organic-inorganic systems when ...
